ヤクブ・アイイェグベニ氏、ナイジェリア人にフィニディ・ジョージをスーパー・イーグルスのコーチとしてサポートするよう要請

元スーパー・イーグルスとエバートンのストライカー、ヤクブ・アイイェグベニは、ナイジェリアを2026 FIFAワールドカップ出場権に導こうとしているフィニディ・ジョージを支援するようナイジェリア人に呼び掛けた。

Former Nigeria international Yakubu Aiyegbeni has backed the decision of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) to appoint Finidi George as the head coach of the Super Eagles, Soccernet.ng reports.

元ナイジェリア代表ヤクブ・アイイェグベニ氏が、スーパー・イーグルスのヘッドコーチにフィニディ・ジョージ氏を任命するというナイジェリアサッカー連盟（NFF）の決定を支持したと、Soccernet.ngが報じた。

Yakubu was one of the most prolific strikers in the green and white colours of the Super Eagles, scoring 21 goals in 58 games in a career that spanned twenty years.

ヤクブはスーパーイーグルスの緑と白のカラーで最も多作なストライカーの一人で、20年にわたるキャリアの中で58試合で21ゴールを決めた。

The former Everton forward is in support of the NFF’s decision to appoint his former teammate as the head coach of the Super Eagles.

元エヴァートンのフォワードは、元チームメイトをスーパー・イーグルスのヘッドコーチに任命するというNFFの決定を支持している。

Yakubu, who missed a golden chance to send the Super Eagles to the round-of-sixteen stage of the 2010 FIFA World Cup against South Korea in South Africa, admitted that coaching Nigeria is no walk in the park.

“Listen, it’s not easy coaching the Nigerian National Team, and that is the first thing you must know,” Yakubu told Responsible Gambling.

Under Finidi, the Super Eagles are without a win in two FIFA World Cup qualifiers and are in danger of not competing on the biggest footballing stage.
