Andhra Pradesh government is in talks with several semiconductor companies to set up units in the state over the next two years. These investments are expected to total around Rs 14,000 crore, state Industries Minister Gudivada Amarnath said on Monday.

アーンドラプラデーシュ州政府は、今後2年間で州内に拠点を設立するために複数の半導体企業と協議している。グディバダ・アマルナス州産業大臣は月曜日、これらの投資は総額約1万4000億ルピーになる見込みだと述べた。

The minister said that the state government is working towards attracting investments in sunrise sectors like semiconductors, electric vehicles, and renewable energy.

同大臣は、州政府が半導体、電気自動車、再生可能エネルギーなどの日の出分野への投資誘致に取り組んでいると述べた。

"We are in talks with several semiconductor companies and are hopeful of getting some units in the state over the next two years. These investments are expected to be around Rs 14,000 crore," Amarnath told reporters here.

アマルナス氏は当地で記者団に対し、「われわれは複数の半導体企業と交渉中で、今後２年間で州内にいくつかのユニットを導入できることを期待している。これらの投資は約１万４０００億ルピーになる見込みだ」と語った。

He said that the state government is also focusing on attracting investments in downstream industries related to semiconductors.

"We are also working towards attracting investments in setting up units for printed circuit boards (PCBs), integrated circuits (ICs), and other downstream industries related to semiconductors," the minister added.

同大臣は、「我々はまた、プリント基板（PCB）、集積回路（IC）、その他の半導体関連の下流産業向けのユニット設立への投資誘致にも取り組んでいる」と付け加えた。

Andhra Pradesh has been aggressively promoting itself as an investment destination and has been able to attract several large-scale projects in recent years.

The state government is also planning to set up a semiconductor fab in the state.

"The state government is also planning to set up a semiconductor fab in the state. We are in talks with the Centre and are hopeful of getting the necessary approvals soon," Amarnath said.

The minister said that the state government is also working towards setting up a skill development center for the semiconductor industry.

"We are also planning to set up a skill development center for the semiconductor industry. This will help in training local youth and making them employable in the industry," he added.
