NASCAR's social media accounts have been hit by hackers who used them to advertise a new crypto coin.

On Tuesday afternoon, the NASCAR main X account as well as its Xfinity and Truck Series accounts, shared a press release announcing the launch of a NASCAR token.

The post was quickly deleted off NASCAR's accounts. It seems that NASCAR, like the NBA, was almost certainly hacked. Earlier in the day, the NBA's social media account was hacked and used to announce the launch of a new crypto coin.

The NBA PR team confirmed to Front Office Sports that their social media accounts were indeed hacked. Even after the confirmation, the NBA was still being hacked as the official X account reposted the press release multiple times. Shortly after the reposts, the league seemingly took control of the account, as the reposts were quickly deleted.
