Trump promotes his meme coin in enthusiastic post

Mar 24, 2025 at 03:08 am

“TRUTH (Social) is on “FIRE” (in a positive way, of course!). It is my Voice, and the Real Voice of America. Sign up TODAY”

Trump promotes his meme coin in enthusiastic post

President Donald Trump took to Truth Social Sunday to promote his own meme coin as well as his social media site.

“TRUTH (Social) is on ‘FIRE’ (in a positive way, of course!). It is my Voice, and the Real Voice of America. Sign up TODAY, I have never let you down!” he wrote in one post.

“I LOVE $TRUMP — SO COOL!!! The Greatest of them all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” Trump wrote moments later.

$Trump is the name of his meme coin. The price jumped after his post after trending down most of Sunday morning. The price sat at $11.45 as of mid-afternoon.

The president made the posts as he spent the day at the White House following a brief visit to Philadelphia for the NCAA wrestling championship. There, he was greeted by mostly cheers with a few boos. Oklahoma State wrestler Wyatt Hendrickson went viral for saluting the president after his upset win in the tournament.

Trump also shared several pictures on Sunday of himself enjoying the competition. Elon Musk and a host of other administration officials joined Trump on the visit to the college sporting event.

Former Speaker says Trump has ‘broken the Democratic party’

21:40 , John Bowden

Former House Speaker Kevin McCarthy warned that Democratic congressional leaders should be wary of them meeting a similar fate to the one that befell him in 2023.

The ex-congressman was interviewed on New York’s WABC 770 AM as part of “The Cats Roundtable,” a show hosted by billionaire John Catsimatidis. McCarthy told listeners that Chuck Schumer and Hakeem Jeffries were no longer being looked to by voters or even their fellow lawmakers as leaders of the party.

McCarthy insisted the real figures of leadership in the party were Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Bernie Sanders, who have embarked on a nationwide tour to rally disaffected Democrats in the wake of Trump’s inauguration. The pair have been able to bring in crowds numbering in the tens of thousands in cities including Denver and Tuscon.

Trump allies tell White House to dial back Musk interviews over Social Security concerns - report

21:00 , Rhian Lubin

Allies of President Donald Trump have told the White House to dial back Elon Musk interviews over Social Security concerns, according to a report.

Trump insiders have acknowledged there is “concern” around some of the comments Musk has made about Social Security in interviews, including on Joe Rogan’s podcast where he likened it to a “Ponzi scheme,”' according to four people familiar with the matter.

Advisers reportedly told the outlet that Trump allies on Wall Street and in Congress have relayed to the White House their concerns and suggested that the billionaire needs to be more scripted or taken off air.

“Of course they don’t want their Social Security cut,” an anonymous Trump official reportedly told NBC News. So if they hear something on the news that Elon Musk is saying, that we should do something with Social Security — of course there might be some concerns.

“But the only concern they have to worry about is what the president of the United States is saying and what he’s doing. We haven’t touched Social Security. We’re not going to touch Social Security.”

Expert says he doesn't think Trump would defy a SCOTUS order

20:35 , Alex Lang

A legal expert and professor at Princeton said he doesn’t believe President Donald Trump will dismiss a ruling by the Supreme Court - should it get to that level.

“I do not expect, as some people expect, President Trump, to defy a direct order of the Supreme Court. He may defy the district judge on the grounds that the district judge is now trenching upon executive power under the Constitution, getting out of his own lane, usurping the authority of the president,” Robert P. George told The Hill Sunday.

There have been some questions about what will happen if Trump continues to defy court orders. It is causing some to raise alarms as they call it a ‘Constitutional crisis’ and nothing it is not something that’s happened in the U.S.’s history.
