The first two robberies happened on December 18.

Another robbery happened the next day, just before 6 a.m., on December 19. Two people were at Q Mart on Getwell Road when they were approached by two people who robbed them of $220.

Another robbery happened at Valero on Lamar Avenue. Just after 9 p.m. on January 18, two people approached both sides of a 2006 Toyota Avalon and pointed guns at the two people inside. The victims ran out of the car and the Avalon was stolen.

Two additional crimes took place on January 19 before the three teens were taken into custody.

Around 1:30 a.m., a 1999 Ford Mustang was stolen from a Shell gas station on Summer Avenue.

Hours later, officers spotted the Avalon in the area of Cooper Street and Elzey Avenue. The driver refused to stop for police, who gave chase.

The driver crashed in the area of Sam Cooper and E Parkway. The three people inside were able to evade police and abandoned the Avalon.

Soon afterward, officers found the Mustang in the area of Summer Avenue and Trezevant Street.

The driver again refused to stop, and police gave chase. The car then crashed into a guard railing in the area of North White Station and Macon Roads. The three got out and were tracked down on foot and taken into custody.

One of the three teens had a stolen handgun in his backpack.
