Rosemont Pavilion: Where the Tournament of Roses Parade Floats Come to Life

Rosemont Pavilion rises up out of the Pasadena mist for just a few days each year. At the end of December, the vast parking lots surrounding the Rose Bowl come alive, bursting with color and activity as workers scramble to decorate giant floats for the Tournament of Roses Parade.

The AIDS Healthcare Foundation is honoring Charlie Chaplin's Little Tramp and the centennial of his film "The Gold Rush" with a float in the 2023 Rose Parade. The float will feature a giant depiction of Chaplin's iconic character, made entirely of flowers, seeds, and other plant materials. The foundation is also using the float to raise awareness about HIV/AIDS and the importance of organ donation.

The Rose Parade is a New Year's Day tradition in Pasadena, California. The parade features dozens of floats, each covered in millions of flowers. The floats are designed and built by volunteers from throughout Southern California.
