The incoming commander-in-chief shared a link to his official X account, inviting those interested to join him in "celebrating" his 2024 election win. The website, GetTrumpMemes, offered a coin that was "freely tradeable on the blockchain" to commemorate Trump surviving an assassination attempt last summer.
The site touted Trump as the "crypto president" and called $TRUMP "the only official Trump meme." It further stated:

According to Axios, Trump's coin launch was a massive success, with the value of the coin increasing by 600 percent overnight. By Saturday morning, the coins were trading at $32 each. The outlet reported:
