Political Meme Coins Soar 6% After Trump Guilty Verdict, TRUMP Token Skyrockets 497%

A Manhattan jury found former US President Donald Trump guilty on 34 felony counts in his hush money trial on Monday.

The verdict came after a two-week trial in which prosecutors accused Trump of falsifying business records and concealing documents relating to hush money paid to adult entertainment star Stormy Daniels.

The charges stem from an investigation by the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office into Trump’s dealings with Daniels, who was paid $130,000 by Trump’s former lawyer, Michael Cohen, in the lead-up to the 2016 presidential election.

Cohen later pleaded guilty to campaign finance violations and was sentenced to three years in prison.

Trump was not charged with any campaign finance violations, but the hush money payments were a central focus of the Manhattan DA’s investigation.

The jury found Trump guilty of all 10 counts of falsifying business records and all 24 counts of concealing documents.

The former president now faces sentencing on the charges, which could include up to four years in prison for each count of falsifying business records and up to one year for each count of concealing documents.

However, legal experts believe that Trump is likely to face a shorter sentence due to his age and lack of prior criminal convictions.

The guilty verdict is a significant blow to Trump, who has repeatedly denied any wrongdoing and has accused the Manhattan DA of conducting a politically motivated witch hunt against him.

Trump’s lawyers are expected to appeal the verdict, and the case could ultimately end up in the New York Court of Appeals, the state’s highest court.
