On the occasion of the 100th birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will visit Madhya Pradesh on December 25.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Madhya Pradesh on 25th December to mark the 100th birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. He will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for several key development projects in Khajuraho at around 12:30 PM.
One of the highlights will be the laying of the foundation stone for the Ken-Betwa River Linking National Project, which will be the first interlinking of rivers in the country under the National Perspective Plan. The project will provide irrigation facilities to several districts in Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh, benefiting lakhs of farming families. It will also ensure drinking water supply to the region and contribute over 100 MW of green energy through hydropower, creating employment opportunities and boosting the rural economy.
As part of the centenary celebrations, Prime Minister Modi will release a commemorative stamp and coin in Vajpayee’s honor. He will also lay the foundation stone for 1,153 Atal Gram Sushasan Bhawans, which will help streamline the work of Gram Panchayats and promote good governance at the local level.
Continuing his focus on clean energy, the Prime Minister will inaugurate the Omkareshwar Floating Solar Project in Khandwa district, which aims to reduce carbon emissions and contribute to India’s goal of net-zero carbon emissions by 2070. The project will also help conserve water by reducing evaporation.
