The State Bank of India (SBI) celebrated a historic milestone with an event held at the NCPA in Mumbai on November 18, 2024. Graced by Finance Minister Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman, the occasion marked the unveiling of a commemorative coin, commemorating the completion of 100 years of the iconic SBI Mumbai Main Branch building.
The event also saw the launch of Volume V of the Book on the Evolution of State Bank of India and Audio Books for all the volumes. Among the dignitaries present were Shri M. Nagaraju, Secretary of the Department of Financial Services, SBI Chairman Shri C. S. Setty, and other distinguished guests.

Highlighting the importance of cybersecurity awareness, SBI Deputy General Manager (DGM) Mr. Sandeep Kumar stated, "In today's digital age, where financial transactions are largely conducted online, it is crucial to be vigilant and aware of the tactics employed by fraudsters. This booklet serves as a valuable tool, providing customers with practical guidance to protect themselves from falling prey to scams."
The booklet covers a wide range of topics, including common types of scams, such as phishing, vishing, and smishing, as well as measures to prevent and report scams. It also provides information on SBI's initiatives to enhance customer safety, such as the toll-free helpline and the report fraud link on the SBI website.
