Momolato Opens At North Bridge Road With Famous Gelato And A Whole New Menu Of Desserts And Savoury Mains

Momolato, a dessert cafe by award-winning gelato master Sharon Tay, has opened a second cafe at North Bridge Road. The new Bugis cafe offers a whole new menu of desserts and savoury mains, to go with their famous gelato.

The new 20-seater cafe is a nine-minute walk from Bugis or Jalan Besar MRT Station. It’s also open till 1am on Fridays and Saturdays, for those late-night dessert cravings.

Momolato: The Dessert Cafe Run By Asia’s Gelato Champion

For those who don’t know, Momolato is helmed by Sharon Tay, a gelato champion who clinched the top prize at the Asia Pacific leg of the Gelato World Tourn in 2017. She went on to represent Singapore at the Gelato World Tour Finals in Italy two years later.

You can expect their famous gelato here, in a wide range of flavours including Triple Dark Chocolate, Sweet Corn Cempedak, and Brown Butter Peach Cobbler. The gelato is priced from $5.30 for a single scoop, with top-ups required for premium flavours.

This new cafe also sees a whole new lineup of desserts. A highlight is the Sicilian Pistachio Kunafa Waffle ($21), where a freshly baked waffle is topped with pistachio cream and crispy shredded filo pastry, then crowned with fresh fruits and a scoop of pistachio gelato.

There’s also a deep-fried mochi ice cream series, where Momolato’s signature gelato is wrapped in dough and fried till crispy. Expect flavours like Ondeh Ondeh, Salted Egg Yolk, and Cempedak.

We’re also glad to see the viral Cheddar Cheese Coin ($6.50) on the menu. This popular Korean street snack stars a coin-shaped pancake stuffed with stretchy cheese for the ultimate cheese pull.

We’re most excited about the savoury lineup: Fried Buttermilk Garlic Chicken Waffle ($16.90), Momolato Smash Burger (price TBD) and more!
