The Citadel CEO called the race between Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris “almost a coin toss” during a panel at the Saudi Arabia Future Investment summit this week.
Hedge fund billionaire Ken Griffin said he expects former President Donald Trump to win the White House next week on Election Day.
Griffin, the CEO of Citadel, called the race between Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris “almost a coin toss” during a panel at the Saudi Arabia Future Investment summit this week, Bloomberg reported.
But he thinks Trump is favored to win.
“The expectation today is that Donald Trump will win the White House in just a few days, we’ll know shortly,” Griffin said, according to Bloomberg. “We are at this moment of peak uncertainty.”
While Griffin has funneled millions to GOP candidates, he has not donated directly to Trump’s campaign, Forbes reported.
Polling indicates Trump and Harris are essentially neck and neck with Election Day less than a week away.
Griffin also reportedly said during the forum the end of the presidential race will bring some clarity to markets.
“Big picture, the reduction in uncertainty is almost always positive for asset prices,” he said.
“I would say that post-election will generally see a risk on environment as people come to adopt a new regime whether it’s a Harris regime or a Trump regime,” he continued. “This uncertainty will be behind us.”
