Haliey Welch Files Class Action Lawsuit Following Hawk Tuah Meme Coin Scandal

Haliey Welch, who became known as the “Hawk Tuah” Girl after launching a meme coin that quickly lost nearly all of its value, has returned to social media following two weeks of silence.

Welch announced the release of a crypto altcoin earlier this month that soared to a market cap of close to $500 million before quickly plummeting to a loss of 95 percent of its value. She put out a tweet denying any wrongdoing in the immediate aftermath before disappearing.

She was back on Friday to reveal she was working with a law firm to take those responsible to task.

“I take this situation extremely seriously and want to address my fans, the investors who have been affected, and the broader community,” Welch wrote on Friday. “I am fully cooperating with and am committed to assisting the legal team representing the individuals impacted, as well as to help uncover the…”

A class action lawsuit has since been filed by the law firm named in Welch's tweet against the creators of the $HAWK coin.

The legal team have also suggested that Welch was a victim as she was fed bad information by people who were simply trying to take advantage of her viral success.

Welch is expected to return to regular programming once she clears her name.

“Number one rule in life: Don’t trust financial advice from girl called “Hawk Tua,” a user suggested.

“You’re going to jail Haliey Welch,” another fan warned.

“Hold the responsible parties accountable” ? That would be you. Even if you had no direct involvement, it’s still your name and face being dragged through the mud,” someone added.

“🚨BREAKING: After sleeping for 332 hours, 14 minutes, and 72 seconds, Haliey Welch AKA Hawk Tuah has finally woken up. She now holds the world record for longest time sleeping,” the popular greg account posted.

“They played you and ripped off your fans. But web 3 is like that. Everyone warned you. You picked the team to work with and got paid $125k up front. You have to take some blame,” a comment read.

“I TOLD YOU something was not right….It made no sense for her to screw over her fans. I hope everyone is made whole,” someone wrote.

“I honestly feel bad for you. When fame comes quick like that, everybody becomes your friend and it’s hard to know who to trust,” said another.

I honestly feel bad for you. When fame comes quick like that, everybody becomes your friend and it’s hard to know who to trust.I’m sure the courts will go easy on you since you’re a first time offender, but I wish the best for you. Use this as a lesson to be careful who you…
