Jambo is set to launch a satellite program to connect a global network of JamboPhones and expand access to decentralized services. Bitget will be hosting a token sale event on LaunchX to support Jambo’s satellite initiative, aiming to raise $5 million.

Jambo is known for its crypto-native smartphone brand, priced at $99, which has carved out a niche in the blockchain ecosystem. The company sold 700,000 JamboPhones in 2024, spearheading efforts to bring Web3 technologies to emerging markets.

According to Jambo, the upcoming satellite program will provide borderless data access to JamboPhone users globally. The phones are equipped with Web3 capabilities, enabling users to access decentralized applications (dApps) and engage in Web3 activities.

While Web3 solutions on smartphones are a growing trend in the blockchain industry, they are not yet as popular as traditional phone networks. However, analysts see Web3-enabled smartphones as a path toward wider adoption of emerging technologies.

They provide easy access to blockchain solutions, allowing users to engage in the industry more quickly. This contrasts with the technical barriers involved in setting up crypto wallets and navigating decentralized protocols.

JamboPhone users can engage in decentralized finance (DeFi), gaming, and earning opportunities. The company believes the upcoming satellite program will help the phones scale to meet the increasing demand for decentralized connectivity.

This will ensure uninterrupted user data access, even in locations with limited internet access or where traditional phone networks are unreliable.

Bitget Supports Jambo’s Satellite Program

The upcoming exercise on Bitget’s LaunchX will allow users to access Jambo’s project tokens early and contribute to advancing the company’s next development phase.

Bitget users will be able to participate in the token sale event, scheduled to begin on March 23, to support Jambo’s satellite program. The exchange aims to raise $5 million through the exercise.

Commenting on the collaboration, Gracy Chen, CEO of Bitget, highlighted Jambo’s ambition to expand Web3 access in emerging markets, which aligns with Bitget’s plan to support innovative projects.
