Bitcoin price predictions for 2025 are starting to cool. Despite the hype around a potential rally, market odds are showing a more conservative take.
Bitcoin Price Predictions: A Softer Take on 2025 Odds
On Polymarket, traders are betting Bitcoin won’t go higher than $138,000 this year, with some downside scenarios placing it as low as $59,000, according to data posted by user Ashwin on X.
That’s a far cry from the six-figure moonshots often thrown around in crypto circles. The Polymarket odds suggest a 60% upside from current levels.
“The $138K Bitcoin price target may not seem bullish to most Bitcoiners,” Ashwin stated, explaining that sentiment has been weighed down by recent uncertainty, including fallout from U.S. tariffs under the Trump administration.
However, economist Timothy Peterson has applied a different method to arrive at a 75% chance of Bitcoin hitting new highs within nine months.
According to his analysis of a decade of seasonality data, April and October tend to be strong months, boasting average returns of 13% and 22%.
“Bitcoin has a 75% chance of setting new all-time highs within 9 months (by January 1, 2024)., ” Peterson stated.
Furthermore, CryptoQuant analysts say the $84K-$85K zone is a key level to watch-dip below it, and selling could accelerate quickly.
“If the price stays above the $84K-$85K support, it will be able to aim for the $100K resistance. Otherwise, prepare for a rapid decline below $60K.”
At the time of writing, Bitcoin is trading at $86,363. But between cautious prediction markets and historical tailwinds, traders are torn between bracing for impact or loading up before the next leg higher.
