A half-ounce Gold American Eagle coin was found at the bottom of a Salvation Army red kettle in Phoenix, Arizona this holiday season.

The coin, which has a face value of $25, was later appraised and sold for an impressive $1,310. The anonymous donor also left a heartwarming message with the coin, writing, “May this gold help the people in need during the Christmas season. Bless you all.”
