Hoskinson also interacted with the creators of RLUSD, the recently launched stablecoin by Ripple. He added that working with Ripple’s team is a pleasure.

Speaking on a live stream, Hoskinson referred to Schwartz as a brilliant and passionate person who has stood his ground in the face of difficulties at Ripple. He pointed out that Schwartz played a big role in Ripple’s fight against the United States Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).

Ripple has been in a legal battle with the SEC since December 2020. The SEC alleged that the company had carried out an unregistered securities offering by selling XRP tokens. In July 2023, Ripple received a favorable ruling in part when a federal court determined that XRP is not a security when sold on a public exchange. However, the problems and appeals remain unsolved and ongoing in the case.
