A theft led to a stabbing with a knife and the arrest of two men in Pembroke Pines on Tuesday, police said.

The stabbing occurred at 8:55 a.m. on Tuesday near Pines Boulevard, according to authorities.

Police investigators learned that Keano Johnson, 26, and Chuck Forbes, 37, were in a coin laundry business when Forbes stole personal items belonging to Johnson and ran out of the building.

Johnson chased Forbes and stabbed him once in the back with a knife, police said.

Forbes was taken to a hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. Both men were later arrested for the incident that occurred.

Forbes is facing theft charges and Johnson is facing charges related to stabbing, according to authorities.
