TARC 为路易斯维尔公交乘客推出移动票务应用程序

Transit Authority of River City Launches Mobile Ticketing Application

Louisville, Kentucky - The Transit Authority of River City (TARC) has unveiled MyTARC Mobile, an innovative mobile application that empowers transit riders in Louisville with the convenience of purchasing tickets seamlessly through their smartphones.

Announced in an official press release on Tuesday, April 23, TARC expressed its commitment to enhancing rider experience by eliminating the hassle of carrying exact change. "Customers can now simply pay with a few taps of their smartphone, providing a quick and effortless way to purchase tickets," TARC stated.

To access the MyTARC Mobile application, users can download the Token Transit App and search for TARC within the app. Upon identifying the correct transit service, riders can select the mobile ticket that best suits their travel needs from a range of options.

TARC offers a comprehensive selection of standard passes through the app, encompassing single trip, 24-hour, seven-day, and 30-day passes. Additionally, discount pass options are available for riders across the city. TARC customers who utilize the app or their MyTARC card enjoy a $0.25 discount over cash fare, reducing single-ride ticket prices from $1.75 to $1.50.

When boarding a TARC vehicle, passengers must activate their pass and scan the barcode on their smartphone face-down on the farebox scanner located on the bus. The application also allows for efficient family travel, enabling a single passenger to purchase multiple passes for their family members using one device.

TARC emphasizes that reduced fare passengers and their associates should contact the designated phone number, (502) 585-1234, to have reduced fares added to their MyTARC Mobile account.

Through the implementation of this mobile ticketing solution, TARC aims to streamline the transit experience, improve accessibility, and enhance convenience for its customers. The MyTARC Mobile application is available for download from the app store, providing Louisville residents with a modern and user-friendly platform for purchasing transit tickets.
