In December 2024, detectives with 1 District street crime (St. Catharines/Thorold) with the Niagara Regional Police Service began an investigation into a break and enter that occurred in the area of Centre Street and Court Street in the City of St. Catharines.

Investigation revealed a male suspect had broken into an apartment at this location, stole a coin collection worth over $10,000 and left the residence.

As a result of the investigation, detectives were able to identify the male suspect.
