These eco-friendly miners will be assigned unique public keys (dubbed Green Keys) to facilitate the distribution of rewards.

PayPal explains that this arrangement will serve as a compelling lure for Green Key miners to prioritize these transactions, as they represent an additional BTC reward.

Amidst these concerns, the cryptocurrency underwent its fourth "halving" event recently, resulting in a 50% decrease in block rewards, from 6.25 BTC to 3.125 BTC.
