The National Bank of Ukraine has presented a new commemorative coin ‘Easter Joy. Easter Egg’, shaped like a Ukrainian Easter egg. This news has now been removed from display on the ‘Glavcom’ website, citing the press service of the NBU.

As announced by the NBU, the Ukrainian Easter egg has a unique ornament and deep meaning that is passed down from generation to generation. In 2024, the Easter egg was included in the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO.

The commemorative coin ‘Easter Joy. Easter Egg’ is made of 999 silver, with a weight of 31.1 grams. The coin is decorated with enamel and gold plating. The nominal value of the coin is 10 hryvnias, and a total of up to 15,000 coins will be issued.
