The Illuvium game is known for its open-world exploration and NFT (Non-Fungible Token) integration, where players collect Illuvials, NFT creatures with unique affinities and classes, to use in tactical battles. These Illuvials can be merged at higher levels to create even more powerful beings, adding to the strategic depth of the game.

Furthermore, token holders can participate in the game's governance through the Illuvium Decentralized Autonomous Organization (DAO), influencing the game's development and direction. The game also introduces another token, sILV, which can be used immediately in-game, unlike ILV, which has a lock-up period.
