In response, Philion clarified that XRPL’s new capabilities would be limited in scope compared to Flare’s more comprehensive infrastructure.

He explained that Flare’s ecosystem offers full Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) compatibility, decentralized data access, protocol-managed wallets, and off-chain computing. Beyond staking, Flare aims to enhance XRPL’s functionality through decentralized bridging and oracle services.

Currently, transferring assets between XRPL and other networks requires users to trust centralized issuers. However, Flare’s protocol-managed wallets will enable seamless, trustless transfers, removing this limitation.
