Emirate NBD, a major Dubai bank, has announced its foray into digital asset trading and custody through its subsidiary, Liv.

Liv, Emirate NBD’s digital banking arm, will now allow its users to trade cryptocurrencies on its platform. The service commenced yesterday, August 17, offering interested parties custody services for their digital assets.

Emirate NBD’s retail banking head, Marwan Hadi, highlighted Dubai’s friendly disposition towards digital assets and Liv X’s role in maximizing the trend with crypto trading and custody services.

Accessible via the Liv X app and in partnership with Aquanow, a Dubai-licensed virtual asset service provider, Liv users can trade five cryptocurrencies—Bitcoin, Ethereum, XRP Solana, and Cardano.
