Crypto.com has been granted a limited license by Dubai’s Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority (VARA) to provide derivatives products. The license marks a significant step forward in Crypto.com’s global expansion strategy.

Dubai’s VARA Approves Crypto.com for Derivatives Products

Crypto.com has received approval from VARA to offer its derivatives products to institutions and qualified investors from various countries.

The new license expands on Crypto.com’s existing Virtual Asset Service Provider (VASP) status, which was granted in November 2023, and allows for the launch of futures, perpetual swap contracts, and contracts for difference (CFDs).

This milestone is part of Crypto.com’s broader 2025 Roadmap, which includes several major rollouts and regulatory milestones in the UAE.

Since receiving its VASP license, the company has rapidly expanded its services. In April, Crypto.com secured full operational approval from VARA for its Virtual Asset Platform.

Later in August, Crypto.com launched its global retail services in the UAE in partnership with Standard Chartered.
