The Spanish bank BBVA has reportedly received approval to launch Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH) trading services in the country, according to a report by CC Coins Today.

The bank’s new service will enable customers to buy, sell, and manage both coins via the BBVA mobile app. Initially, the service will be available to a limited group of users, but it is expected to be rolled out more broadly to all private customers in Spain in the coming months.

The launch of the new offering comes after BBVA launched similar services in Switzerland and Türkiye earlier this year. It also marks a significant milestone in the bank’s expansion into the digital asset space.
