The Students’ Representative Council (SRC) of the University of Cape Coast (UCC), has made a donation to the UCC Muslim Community in honour of Ramadan.

케이프 코스트 대학교 (UCC)의 학생 대표 협의회 (SRC)는 라마단을 기리기 위해 UCC 무슬림 공동체에 기부했습니다.

The donation which took place on Friday, 7th March 2025, at the Central Mosque on campus, also saw the SRC president, H.E. Abraham Norman Nortey, and other SRC executives present.

2025 년 3 월 7 일 금요일에 캠퍼스의 중앙 모스크에서 열린 기부금은 SRC 회장, 아브라함 노먼 노르 티 및 기타 SRC 경영진이 참석하는 것을 보았습니다.

Donated items included bags of rice, almonds, fruits, beverages, bags of water, and other essential food supplies to support Muslim students as they observe their month-long fast.

기증 된 품목에는 쌀, 아몬드, 과일, 음료, 물 가방 및 기타 필수 식품 공급이 포함되어 있으며 무슬림 학생들이 한 달 동안 빠르게 관찰 할 때 무슬림 학생들을 지원했습니다.

Speaking at the event, SRC president, H.E. Abraham Norman Nortey, said the donation was part of the SRC’s broader effort to foster an inclusive student environment where all groups feel recognised and supported.

“Ramadan is a time of reflection, sacrifice, and togetherness. As an SRC that prioritises student welfare, we are honoured to stand in solidarity with our Muslim brothers and sisters during this holy month. This donation is a token of our appreciation for their commitment to faith and community,” he added.

“라마단은 성찰, 희생 및 공생의 시간입니다. 학생 복지 우선 순위를 정하는 SRC로서, 우리는이 거룩한 달 동안 무슬림 형제 자매들과 연대를하게되어 영광입니다. 이 기부금은 믿음과 공동체에 대한 그들의 헌신에 대한 우리의 감사의 표현입니다.”라고 그는 덧붙였습니다.

His words serve as a testament to the SRC’s commitment to a campus culture that embraces diversity and promotes interfaith harmony.

Receiving the items on behalf of the UCC Muslim Community, Mr. Kudus, President of the Ghana Muslim Students Association (GMSA) – UCC, expressed his gratitude to the SRC for the donation.

“On behalf of the UCC Muslim community, we want to thank the SRC for this generous donation. It is encouraging to see leadership that values inclusivity and student welfare. This act of kindness reaffirms our belief that the SRC is truly working in the interest of all students,” Mr. Kudus stated.

“UCC 무슬림 공동체를 대신 하여이 관대 한 기부에 대해 SRC에게 감사의 말씀을 전합니다. 포용성과 학생 복지를 소중히 여기는 리더십을 보는 것이 고무적입니다. 이 친절한 행동은 SRC가 모든 학생들의 이익을 위해 진정으로 노력하고 있다는 우리의 믿음을 재확인합니다.”라고 Kudus는 말했습니다.

He added that the donation will go a long way in supporting Muslim students as they focus on their spiritual journey during the holy month.

Senior lecturers who attended the event also commended the SRC for its proactive leadership and urged other student leaders to follow suit. They highlighted the significance of such acts in fostering campus unity and engagement.
