Sonic (gaming platform on the Solana blockchain) and Injective (Layer-1 blockchain) announced a partnership on Thursday to create what they claim is the industry's first cross-chain AI Agent platform.

Sonic(Solana 블록체인의 게임 플랫폼)과 Injective(Layer-1 블록체인)는 목요일에 업계 최초의 크로스체인 AI 에이전트 플랫폼을 만들기 위한 파트너십을 발표했습니다.

The initiative, called the Smart Agent Hub, will combine the capabilities of Solana and Injective, creating a cross-chain environment for AI agent development.

The collaboration will see Sonic's HyperGrid technology used to create a dedicated Solana Virtual Machine (SVM) grid within Injective, enabling direct communication between the Solana and Injective networks via the Inter-Blockchain Communication Protocol (IBC).

이번 협업에서는 Injective 내에서 전용 Solana 가상 머신(SVM) 그리드를 생성하는 데 사용되는 Sonic의 HyperGrid 기술을 통해 IBC(Inter-Blockchain Communication Protocol)를 통해 Solana와 Injective 네트워크 간의 직접 통신을 가능하게 할 것입니다.

This integration will allow Solana smart contracts to be executed on Injective, opening up new possibilities for interoperability.

A key aspect of the venture will be a bidirectional bridge to support the seamless transfer of assets, such as SOL and Injective (INJ) tokens, enhancing liquidity and user experience by allowing for both wrapped and native token transfers.

This setup will not only aim to simplify asset movement but also promises a unified experience for developers, allowing them to easily deploy Solana-based applications onto Injective.

Speaking with Benzinga, Chris Zhu, Co-founder and CEO of Sonic, acknowledged the complexities in state synchronization and cross-chain messaging but highlighted that Sonic's existing HyperGrid infrastructure would be crucial in addressing these issues.

When asked about economic models and governance, Zhu outlined a system where gas fees on the Injective SVM grid would initially be paid in SOL, with a mechanism for revenues to be cycled back into the ecosystem through Injective's burn auction system.
