If you’ve always wanted to try the viral coin pancake, there’s one more place for you to consider.

항상 바이럴 코인 팬케이크를 먹고 싶었다면 고려해야 할 곳이 한 군데 더 있습니다.

Besides smiling egglettes and waffles, Elias Mall stall Waffle Aunty also sells the trending coin pancake.

웃는 달걀렛과 와플 외에도 Elias Mall 노점 Waffle Aunty에서는 인기 있는 동전 팬케이크도 판매합니다.

The stall is singlehandedly operated by owner Cynthia Chua, who used to be a Human Resources (HR) employee.

이 노점은 인사부(HR) 직원이었던 소유자 Cynthia Chua가 단독으로 운영하고 있습니다.

Chua previously ran Waffle Aunty as a home-based business, before shifting to having a brick-and-mortar shop.

Chua는 이전에 Waffle Aunty를 재택 사업으로 운영하다가 오프라인 매장으로 전환했습니다.

Waffle Aunty also has special flavours from time to time.

Waffle Aunty는 때때로 특별한 맛을 내기도 합니다.

When Mothership visited, the special flavour of the day was Maple Custard.

마더쉽이 방문했을 때 오늘의 특별한 맛은 메이플 커스터드였습니다.

Fun fact: the Nian Gao (sweet rice cake) and Hae Bee Hiam (dry spicy sambal with dried shrimp) are handmade by Chua.

재미있는 사실: Nian Gao(달콤한 떡)와 Hae Bee Hiam(말린 새우를 넣은 매콤한 삼발)은 Chua가 손수 만든 것입니다.

Huat Cake (S$5)

후아트 케이크 (S$5)

With the Chinese word for “huat” imprinted on each pancake, it is no wonder why the pancake is referred to as the Huat Cake.

각 팬케이크에 중국어로 '화'(huat)라는 단어가 새겨져 있어 이 팬케이크를 후아트 케이크(Huat Cake)라고 부르는 것은 당연합니다.

We tried the Cheese, Nian Gao, Taro, and Choco Banana flavours.

We especially liked the Nian Gao and Cheese for the chewy textures.

Smiling Egglettes (from S$1.50)

We got the box of six egglettes and they were served to us similar to how eggs are sold in a tray.

For the egglettes, we tried the Cheese, Hae Bee Hiam, Black Sesame, Peanut, Chocolate, and Maple Custard flavours.

계란의 경우 치즈, 해비히암, 검은깨, 땅콩, 초콜릿, 메이플 커스터드 맛을 맛보았습니다.
