Animoca Brands has partnered with Sony’s Soneium blockchain to introduce robust identity infrastructure through Moca Network and enrich anime-centric experiences on Soneium. This collaboration will see the deployment of Moca Network’s identity layer on the Ethereum Layer 2 blockchain, powered by Optimism’s Superchain technology.

The first major implementation of this technology will be through Anime ID, a decentralized identifier (DID) and reputation layer developed by San FranTokyo, a key contributor to the Anime Foundation. The goal is to deepen engagement for anime enthusiasts and allow Soneium partners to issue and validate data credentials.
