Scallop, a leading DeFi protocol on Sui, began its journey at Sui's Seoul Builder House in June 2023, where its small team of developers showcased their innovation and secured the coveted first prize. Today, Scallop boasts an impressive $117M in Total Value Locked (TVL). Another shining example is Navi Protocol, another "Hackathon Hero" that emerged victorious in the DeFi and Payments category at the Sui X KuCoin hackathon, just a month after Scallop's triumph. The prize structure for each category in Sui's hackathon is as follows: $30,000 for first place, $15,000 for second place, and two additional runner-up prizes of $7,500 each. Notably, contestants are not limited to participating in a single category; individual teams are permitted to compete in multiple tracks simultaneously, potentially accumulating awards in excess of $100,000. With the doubling of funding to $1 million, Sui Overflow participants will now be eligible for accelerated Sui Foundation Grant Funding, along with additional benefits such as audits and credits to ensure the successful launch of their projects following the conclusion of the hackathon.
