Notably, the DAQC method outperformed purely digital methods in terms of the fidelity between the ideal transformation and the achieved transformation, demonstrating a significant improvement as the number of qubits increased.

One of the key challenges in the current NISQ era is the noise introduced by quantum computing devices, especially errors generated by entangling two-qubit gates. HOLO’s DAQC paradigm successfully mitigates these errors, offering a significant advantage over existing technologies. This achievement suggests that hybrid protocols combining digital and simulated quantum computing could be a highly effective path toward “useful quantum supremacy” — the ability to solve real-world problems using quantum computers.
