HYDERABAD: BRS working president KT Rama Rao (KTR) on Sunday said that the Congress government will pay for the harassment meted out to poor people of Peerzadiguda with interest.

He asked Chief Minister Revanth Reddy to take appropriate action following the illegal demolition of the houses being built by the people as part of the political vendetta in the Medchal district.

"An inquiry should be conducted into the role of former Medchal MLA Sudheer Reddy in the demolition of the houses that were built on the plots sold by your Congress leaders and regularised by your Congress government,” KTR pointed out.

He wanted the CM to seek an intelligence report on why BRS leaders who supported the poor people were arrested. “Get an intelligence report on the atrocities being committed by Sudheer Reddy in Medchal Assembly Constituency, otherwise people will fight back and the Congress government will not be able to stop the protests,” KTR said.

The BRS leader said that Congress leader Ramdas Goud, another Congress leader Jagadishwar Reddy, and Congress corporator Amar Singh's family had sold these plots to innocent people.

But former Medchal MLA Sudheer Reddy harassed the officials and demolished the houses built by innocent people who have spent lakhs of rupees,” KTR said.

He said that the BRS government to permanently solve the problem of the owners of the plots of Sai Priya and Satyanarayanpuram Colony under the Peerzadiguda Municipality, included them in the 118 GO and did good to the plot owners. “The incompetent Congress government came to power in the name of pro-public rule but broke the back of the poor people,” he observed.

You are harassing Mayor Jakka Venkat Reddy and the corporators of the BRS party. The Congress government will pay heavily. We will protect our leaders, our mayor, and our corporators,” he said.
