XRP and Cardano Surge as Bitcoin (BTC) Nears $90k Despite Satoshi-Era Wallet Sending 2,000 BTC to an Exchange

The XRP (XRP) and Cardano (ADA) tokens are leading the top 10 coins by market cap in 24-hour gains.

XRP (XRP) and Cardano (ADA) tokens led the top 10 coins by market cap in 24-hour gains on Friday evening.

XRP price spiked more than 12% in the past 24 hours, trading at $0.90 at the time of writing. Cardano traded at $0.68, up 22%.

Bitcoin (BTC) price remained flat despite an early morning crypto miner transferring 2,000 BTC to an exchange. This miner earned the 2,000 BTC through mining in 2010 and has held it ever since.

XRP, ADA Price Analysis

From Monday morning, XRP price has surged more than 64% and began the week at $0.54. On Monday evening, XRP price briefly touched highs of $0.94 before correcting slightly lower.

Cardano price also had a strong week, trading at $0.45 on Monday morning and reaching highs of $0.68 on Friday afternoon US trading session.

Cardano price had the biggest gains in the past 24 hours among the top 10, with over 22% upside on the day. ADA price has now jumped 53% this past week.

Bitcoin price, up 1.4% in the past 24 hours and 18% this past week, continues on its upward path since Nov.5 when the US elected Donald Trump as its next president. Cardano and Ripple tokens have mirrored this upside momentum, with altcoins generally benefiting amid overall bullish sentiment.
