Vitalik Buterin's Absence from the Upcoming Crypto Summit Could Have a Negative Effect on Ethereum's Price

The upcoming crypto summit on March 7 is already generating buzz, especially with the possibility of Donald Trump’s company, World Liberty Financial, making a reappearance. While the summit is expected to be attended by crypto experts and enthusiasts, the absence of a familiar face—Vitalik Buterin, co-founder of Ethereum—has sparked discussion.

This is especially interesting given the company's massive holdings of ETH. According to the company’s website, 57.07% of its portfolio is allocated to Ethereum. In comparison, the company has 18.93% of its portfolio in WBTC (wrapped Bitcoin, which is also relevant to Ethereum) and 13% in USDC (USD Coin, operating as an Ethereum ERC-20 token).

The numbers tell a clear story—ETH is at the forefront of World Liberty Financial’s investment strategy. It seems the company is placing a big bet on Ethereum’s ability to spearhead DeFi, NFTs, and other blockchain innovations.

However, despite the promising narrative, ETH has encountered difficulties in the current bull run and is yet to reach a new all-time high. Buterin’s potential absence from the summit might have a negative effect on the cryptocurrency, especially considering recent events with the Ethereum Foundation and the appointment of the new CEO.

Many early Ethereum enthusiasts and long-time community members value the cryptocurrency’s original ethos of decentralization and open collaboration.
