The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) has partnered with the Cardano Foundation to launch a non-fungible token (NFT) collection to support refugees and empower young artists.
The NFT collection, titled "Cardano Summit 2024," is now available for minting on NMKR until December 04, 2024. The proceeds from the sales will be used to aid refugees, fund sustainable art initiatives, and support young artists.
According to a November 24 blog post by the Cardano Foundation, the initiative is a collaboration between UNHCR, Project Catalyst, Cardano Summit, Goodwall, and NMKR.
The Cardano Foundation is a non-profit Swiss foundation that aims to empower the Cardano ecosystem by providing blockchain network solutions for digital enterprises. Project Catalyst is the largest, most accessible, and impactful innovation fund dedicated to building on Cardano. Cardano Summit is a prestigious annual event that offers early-stage Cardano startups the opportunity to pitch directly to industry experts and investors. Goodwall is an app that provides young people with opportunities to develop their skills and access educational and work-related opportunities.
