Unchanged Australia aim to continue dominance over New Zealand in final ODI
Dec 23, 2024 at 06:05 am
An unchanged Australia will bat first in their final one-day international against New Zealand, after captain Alyssa Healy won the toss in Wellington.
Australia have won the toss and will bat first in the third and final ODI against New Zealand in Wellington, with captain Alyssa Healy opting to continue her side's strong start to the Commbank tour.
After retaining the Rose Bowl Trophy with a 1-0 lead following two matches, Australia are aiming to continue their recent run of dominance over New Zealand in all formats.
Healy will once again play as a batter only, leaving Beth Mooney to keep the gloves as Australia's captain continues her return from a knee injury.
The match is the team's last before the multi-format Ashes begin at home next month.
Australia have looked in good touch in the past fortnight, soundly beating India in three ODIs before the New Zealand tour.
The first game in Wellington was then washed out on Thursday, before Annabel Sutherland's century led them to a victory in the second match on Saturday.
Australia have now won 28 of their past 30 matches against New Zealand in all formats.
