UFC CEO Dana White Joins VeChain Advisory Board to Boost Mainstream Blockchain Awareness
Apr 16, 2025 at 10:03 pm
VeChain, a layer-1 blockchain platform focused on real-world applications, has added Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) CEO Dana White as its newest official adviser
Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) CEO Dana White has joined VeChain’s advisory board to advise the layer-1 blockchain platform and increase mainstream awareness of the industry.
White, also the founder of Power Slap, will join Nobel Prize-winning physicist Konstantin Novoselov in bringing complementary expertise in mass marketing and scientific innovation to drive real-world blockchain adoption.
“VeChain is an incredible partner for the UFC and Power Slap, and I’m honored to join their advisory board,” said White.
“I’m passionate about technology, and with their products and innovation, I’m looking forward to helping elevate their brand to the next level.”

The move has the potential to expand blockchain’s reach significantly. UFC broadcasts reach over 950 million households globally, presenting a huge opportunity for VeChain to engage with new audiences.
Dana will play a key role in amplifying the VeChain sustainability initiative, VeBetterDAO, a decentralized platform that incentivizes real-world sustainable actions through the DAO’s incentive tokens (B3TR).
Dana will not be receiving any B3TR or VeChain (VET) tokens in exchange for his advisory role, VeChain confirmed to Cointelegraph.
UFC is already leveraging blockchain technology with Near-field communication (NFC) chips integrated into a new generation of fighter gloves.
“This was done to combat fraud, as fighter apparel is often auctioned off for charity and other causes, but suffers from a high degree of fraud.”
“Additional conversations are ongoing with the UFC, the UFC Foundation and other partners to provide opportunities for the VeChain and the VeBetter app ecosystem, details of which will be forthcoming in the coming weeks.”
Sunny Lu, co-founder and CEO of VeChain
The UFC Foundation provides support to various non-profit organizations involved in youth fitness, anti-bullying programs and cancer research.
Earlier this year, the UFC partnered with the Dapper Labs-backed Flow blockchain to launch its own Web3 platform, aiming to introduce 600 million UFC fans to the world of NFTs, tokens and the metaverse.
The move comes as part of the UFC’s broader strategy to expand its digital presence and connect with fans in new and engaging ways.
This integration marks a significant step in the UFC’s journey to leverage technology for the greater good.
The partnership between Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) and VeChain aims to drive positive impact and promote a more sustainable future.
