“Mission: Impossible” star Tom Cruise pumped up the Super Bowl crowd during Fox's Super Bowl pregame show on Sunday ahead of the showdown between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles.

"Mission: Impossible" star Tom Cruise had a small but mighty role in Fox’s Super Bowl pregame show on Sunday (February 12) ahead of the showdown between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles.
Ahead of the game, which was kicking off at 6:30 p.m. ET, Fox was set to show a new teaser trailer for Cruise’s upcoming “Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part Two,” which is now being billed as Cruise’s last adventure as IMF agent Ethan Hunt.
Originally planned as the Part Two to 2023’s “Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One,” “Dead Reckoning Part Two” will be bringing back many characters from past entries in the franchise to potentially send off Ethan Hunt for good.
Footage from the movie, which also features newcomers to the franchise, is being cut together by noted editor and commercial director Tom Trachtenberg, who has experience in both fields, having most recently edited “Bullet Train” and shot and directed the 2023 Super Bowl commercial for Hellmann's.
Among those returning for the final installment are Angela Bassett as CIA Director Erika Sloane, after she first appeared in 2018’s “Mission: Impossible – Fallout,” and Simon Pegg as Benji Dunn, and Ving Rhames as Luther Strickell. Also returning are Vanessa Kirby as Alanna Mitsopolis, Hayley Atwell as Grace, Esai Morales as the villain Gabriel, Shea Wigham as Jasper Briggs, Greg Tarzan Davis as Degas, Pom Klementieff as the assassin Paris and Henry Czerny as IMF director Eugene Kittridge.
Hannah Waddingham, Nick Offerman, Lucy Tulugarjuk, Katy O’Brian, Tramell Tillman and Stephen Oyoung join the franchise for “Dead Reckoning Part Two.”
The Kansas City Chiefs are taking on the Philadelphia Eagles for the second time in three years and they have a chance to become the first NFL team in history to win three Super Bowls in a row. Last year they beat the San Francisco 49ers to become back-to-back NFL champions and now the Eagles will be looking for revenge after the Chiefs beat them in 2023. Sunday’s game marks the fifth Super Bowl appearance for the Chiefs in six years.
