title: Circle's USDC Stablecoin Will Officially Launch in Japan on March 26

Circle said it will officially launch its stablecoin in Japan on March 26 after one of its local partners received regulatory approval to list the US dollar stablecoin three weeks ago.

Circle's US dollar (USD) stablecoin USDC (USDC) will be available for trading on the SBI VC Trade crypto exchange in Japan on March 26, a joint venture between SBI Holdings and Circle Japan KK.

This follows the Japan Financial Services Agency’s (JFSA) grant of industry-first approval to SBI VC Trade to list USDC under the new stablecoin regulatory framework on March 4.

Circle is also planning to list USDC on Binance Japan, bitbank, and bitFlyer shortly.

Together, bitbank and bitFlyer are two of the largest crypto exchanges in Japan, having processed more than $25 million each over the last day with over 1.85 million visits to their websites in the last month.

The news comes three weeks after one of its local partners received regulatory approval to list the US dollar stablecoin.

The Together Generation Food Bank, Inc., in partnership with AARP California, has launched a new initiative to combat senior hunger in the San Fernando Valley.

The program, funded by a grant from the California Endowment, will provide home-delivered meals and groceries to seniors in need through a network of volunteers.

"We are grateful to the California Endowment for their generous support in enabling us to expand our services to reach more seniors facing food insecurity," said Together Generation Food Bank CEO Tom Cassin. "This initiative will make a tangible difference in the lives of our community members."

According to AARP, nearly 1 in 8 seniors in California experience food insecurity, defined as a lack of consistent access to enough food for an active, healthy life.

The Together Generation Food Bank has been serving the San Fernando Valley for over 30 years, providing food assistance to families and individuals in need.

AARP California is committed to improving the lives of older adults and advancing the policies that matter most to them.

Together, the organizations will work to mitigate senior hunger and promote the well-being of the San Fernando Valley community.
