Ronin-powered blockchain gaming ecosystem Puffverse has started PuffGo Preseason 5

Preseason 5 represents the final opportunity in which players can play to earn a potential airdrop allocation by jumping into PuffGo

As part of its preparations for the upcoming token generation event (TGE), Puffverse, the Ronin-powered blockchain gaming ecosystem, has begun PuffGo Preseason 5. This marks the final chance for users to play and contribute to their potential airdrop allocation before TGE officially takes place.

Preseason 5 provides the last chance for users to contribute to their potential airdrop allocation by engaging in PuffGo, a multiplayer royale party game developed by Puffverse. In addition to a $PUFF token allocation, there are two more prize pools that users can try and earn from.

To join in on the airdrop period, users will need to try and win as many League matches as possible in order to try and rank your way up as much as you can while time remains. This is done by using the Free Chances allocated to your Puff NFTs. If you fail in the first round of a match, or don’t play for over 5 days, then your rank could end up getting decreased. When you run out of Free Chances, you will have to buy Passes using USDC to continue playing, with 90% of USDC paid for Pass purchases actually going towards the Basic Prize Pool.

The Basic Prize Pool aims to reward all players of Gold rank and higher with USDC and vePUFF rewards. Specifically, the developers have allocated a $5000 USDC reward pool, as well as 750 vePUFF rewards. However, 90% of the Pass income in USDC also goes towards this pool. This means that the more Pass purchases are made, the bigger this prize pool gets, giving everyone an opportunity to earn more USDC. Get the highest rank that you can in order to secure a higher share of USDC rewards.

Next to the Basic Prize Pool, there is also the Top 100 Prize Pool, which has up to 6750 vePUFF up for grabs for the top 100 players that have the Amber or Archdemon rank.

Whether you’re more interested in the token airdrop or the existing prize pools, it all boils down to winning as many League matches as you can to attain the highest rank possible during the given time. Here’s how you can join in!

How to Play to Airdrop in PuffGo Preseason 5

If you want to play to airdrop in PuffGo Preseason 5, you will need to own at least 1 Puff NFT. Owning one will allow you to play League matches, which you need to win as many as possible to qualify for a higher share of rewards.

PuffGo Preseason 5 started on March 17th at 12 PM UTC and will end on March 31st at 12 PM UTC. Rewards are planned to be distributed on April 2nd, after 12 PM (noon) UTC.

You can download PuffGo from the official Puffverse website as an Android APK, or you can get it on the Play Store or Xiaomi App Store (GetApps). It’s also availble on iOS, so you can find it on the App Store as well. All of the same seems to apply for the PuffTown Official App, which should also be downloaded, according to the official Medium announcement. Both apps let you create an account using your email address, as well as via Google. You should use the same account across both apps.

The reason why you need PuffTown is so that you can lock in the Puff NFTs you own in order to play with them in-game, with the official documentation explaining how you can properly do so. It’s also where you will claim your preseason rewards, as well as see your ranking. If you don’t own any Puff NFTs, you can find them in 4 different NFT collections on the Mavis Market: Puff Genesis (With Free Chances), Puff Football (With Free Chances), Puff New Year (With Free Chances), and Puff Astronaut (With Free Chances). Make sure to carefully check the NFT’s properties before making a purchase, as the owner may have already used up the Free Chances for this event.

There is also Puff Classic, but those don’t come with Free Chances. During this preseason, Free Chances “for Puff Genesis and limited-edition Puff NFTs” will not be reset, so once you use them, you will have to wait for the next season to start to have them automatically refresh. You can purchase Passes in PuffTown to continue playing more during the current event. One Pass costs $2 USDC, with each match consuming 1 Pass.

At the end of this Preseason, the Puffverse team will look to announce “exciting news” on the $PUFF TGE.
