Rich Dad Poor Dad Author Robert Kiyosaki Downgrades His Bitcoin (BTC) Price Target for 2025

Jan 03, 2025 at 06:44 pm

The prominent investor, author of the best-selling personal finance book ‘Rich Dad Poor Dad,’ and a noted Bitcoin (BTC) bull, Robert Kiyosaki, included a price target revision for the world’s premier cryptocurrency in the ‘Happy New Year’

Rich Dad Poor Dad Author Robert Kiyosaki Downgrades His Bitcoin (BTC) Price Target for 2025

Prominent investor and author of the best-selling personal finance book 'Rich Dad Poor Dad,' Robert Kiyosaki, has included a price target revision for Bitcoin (BTC) in his 'Happy New Year' X post to his followers on social media.

In a tweet published on January 2, Kiyosaki stated that he expects BTC to reach a price range of $175,000 to $350,000 during 2025, which would represent an increase of 80.5% to 261% from the coin's press time price of $96,952.

MY PRICE PREDICTION for BITCOIN 2025: $175,000 to $350,000

Happy New Year

While it is not uncommon for the author to discuss Bitcoin in his social media posts, the new price target is somewhat surprising as - in addition to being a broad range - it is less bullish than his previous forecasts.

Near the end of 2024, Robert Kiyosaki upgraded his previous 12-month prediction of $250,000 and gave a bullish price target of $350,000 for the cryptocurrency.

Moreover, the latest revision follows a difficult period for Bitcoin - and many other coins and tokens - as the 'Santa Claus rally,' instead of bringing a year-end surge, turned into a downturn that wiped about $200 billion from the total digital assets' market capitalization in just a few days.

It also comes after a period where the world's premier cryptocurrency dropped from mid-December all-time highs (ATHs) of over $108,000 and even threatened to fall below $91,000 at several points.

However, the new forecast may be more of an attempt to realistically include the crypto market's famous volatility than a loss of faith in BTC's upcoming performance.

Market experts set Bitcoin price target for 2025

In fact, Kiyosaki's latest price target aligns with a prediction made by one of Wall Street's most prominent analysts, Fundstrat's Tom Lee, who estimated in late December that Bitcoin is headed for $250,000 in 2025.

Perhaps surprisingly, given the author's general bullishness on BTC, even the upper end of his predicted range falls short of the highest Street expectation.

A cryptocurrency lobbyist, Perianne Boring, stated in the final month of 2024 that it is not out of the realm of possibility for Bitcoin to surge past $800,000 in the current year.

How Bitcoin's 2025 performance reinforces the bull case

Looking at BTC's press time price, the bullish expectation again seems within reach as the cryptocurrency has started to regain its upward momentum.

For instance, BTC has been recovering from recent lows in the initial days of 2025 and is, with its press time price of $96,952, again slightly in the green on the 30-day chart.

The bull case is further reinforced by the fact that Bitcoin managed a 118.15% rise in the last 12 months, despite the late 2024 downturn.
