Oscar-winning composer Hans Zimmer has released a new track, "The Tron Anthem," inspired by Justin Sun and the Tron blockchain ecosystem. Hans Zimmer Composes "The Tron Anthem" for Justin Sun's Blockchain Ecosystem

Academy Award-winning composer Hans Zimmer, renowned for his iconic scores in films such as "Inception," "The Dark Knight," and "The Lion King," has recently unveiled a new work titled "The Tron Anthem." Inspired by Tron founder Justin Sun, the song captures the essence of Sun's vision for a Web3 future characterized by equity and equality.

The three-minute composition, released on Tuesday, is a quintessential Zimmerian masterpiece, featuring a mesmerizing blend of choral vocals, dramatic drumbeats, and soaring string arrangements. It transports listeners to realms reminiscent of fantasy video game soundtracks.

According to Tron representatives, the genesis of the anthem can be traced back over two years ago. Sun approached Zimmer with the idea that the Tron blockchain ecosystem required a soundtrack that would serve as a unifying force for its community.

While it remains unclear whether Zimmer's involvement was purely voluntary or if he received compensation for his work, it's worth noting that Sun has a history of using financial incentives to align himself with influential figures. In 2020, he paid an astonishing $4.57 million for the privilege of dining with legendary investor Warren Buffett.

Decrypt attempted to clarify the financial aspects of the collaboration between Zimmer and Tron, but no immediate response was received from the company's representatives.

The song is described as a collaborative effort between Zimmer and Sun, two prominent figures in the worlds of technology, film, and music. They share a mutual appreciation for the transformative power of the internet and its impact on technological advancements over the past quarter century.

In a statement regarding the song, Zimmer emphasizes his role in creating music that transcends time and resonates with the human spirit. He states, "Part of my job is to do what you can't imagine... make music which has a timeless feel about it. Music that makes you want to go and open your arms and embrace the future in the most humanistic way you can."

Zimmer's representatives were also contacted for comment on the collaboration, but a response was not immediately forthcoming.

Tron and its founder, Sun, have faced significant challenges in recent years. In March 2022, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) charged Sun with market manipulation and fraud, alleging that he inflated the price of Tron's TRX token through his company, the Tron Foundation.

The SEC's accusations extended beyond securities violations to include a scheme in which celebrities were allegedly paid to endorse Tron cryptocurrencies without disclosing their compensation. Notable names mentioned in the suit include Lindsay Lohan, Jake Paul, Soulja Boy, Lil Yachty, and Akon.

Justin Sun has vehemently denied the allegations, claiming that the U.S. government is unfairly targeting prominent players in the cryptocurrency industry. In February, USDC issuer Circle severed ties with Tron, citing a need to maintain trust, transparency, and security for its stablecoin.
