A rare 50p coin that was only ever available for a limited time back in 2022 has sold on eBay for nearly 60x more than its worth.
The Royal Mint released a 50p coin to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the UK Pride movement back in summer 2022.
It was designed by east London artist and activist Dominique Holmes and marked the first time the UK’s LGBTQ+ community had been recognised on an official coin.
The design included the historic Pride progression flag and inscribed with Pride in London’s values of protest, visibility, unity and equality in rainbows.
The 50p coins were available to buy over the summer in a range of metals but did not enter general circulation.
However, these rare 50p Pride coins are now selling online for more than 60x their worth.
One of the "special" 50p coins sold on eBay in February for £31.
While another was sold on eBay earlier in March for £29.11.
The coloured Pride coins are also available to buy on Amazon for £9.99.

A rare 50p coin featuring a new portrait of King Charles III has sold for an incredible £250 on eBay.
The coin, part of a limited-edition set to mark the new monarch's accession to the throne, was originally priced at £150.
