A Beatrix Potter 50p coin is being listed on eBay for over 50,000 times its face value.

The coin, which features Benjamin Bunny on one side and the Queen on the other, is up for grabs for a staggering £25,086.72.

It was minted in 2017 and is being sold from Aylesbury, just over the Oxfordshire border.

The seller describes the coin as a "treasure for collectors and fans" and a "must-have" for anyone who loves Beatrix Potter's work.

They add: "This rare piece celebrates the beloved character from Potter's enchanting tales, and is a splendid addition to any collection of British decimal coinage.

"Struck in 2017, the coin features the charming depiction of Benjamin Bunny, showcasing the exquisite detail and craftsmanship that the Royal Mint is renowned for."

The coin is being listed for the best offer, with delivery priced at £8.35 for the coveted item.

If the coin sells for anything near its asking price, it will be a huge profit for the seller.

Similar rare 50p coins are listed on eBay for whopping profits, with some on for as much as £50,000.
