“This coin is dedicated to the struggle and unity of Ukrainians during the war. It is a symbol of interaction, stamina and the desire for a fair victory, ”the statement said.
On the obverse of the coins, Ukrainian defenders are depicted, uniting their hands in a collective handshake in a circle of unity. This image symbolizes the interaction and readiness for the joint protection of the Fatherland. Against the background, schematic lines of defense and directions of military operations resembling a trident, emphasizing the connection of the defenders with the national emblem.
The reverse of the coin reflects the continuation of the theme of unity and struggle: it depicts the warriors going on the offensive, calling for action. At the top of the coin in a semicircle there is the inscription “Hold the system”, symbolizing the spirit of unity. In addition, stylized images of military equipment give symbolism. Behind the backs of the soldiers are the silhouettes of working civilians who help and donate in favor of victory, emphasizing the importance of the rear at this time.
The artist Andrei Sagach developed a coin, and sculptors Vladimir Atamanchuk and Anatoly Demyanenko worked on the manufacture. The nominal value of the coin is 5 hryvnias, the material is Nizilber.
