The coin, weighing 8 grams, features the intricate depiction of the Tree of Life intertwined with the radiant Sun, embodying themes of growth, prosperity
State-owned MMTC on Friday said its precious metals arm MMTC-PAMP has launched a 22K 'Tree of Life' gold coin, combining ancient Indian symbols with Swiss craftsmanship.
The coin, weighing 8 grams, has an intricate depiction of the Tree of Life intertwined with the radiant Sun on it, embodying themes of growth, prosperity, and divine energy, a statement said.
In Indian mythology, the Tree of Life, or Kalpavriksha, holds immense significance. Originating from the Samudra Manthan, it has multiple representations like the Banyan Tree, known for its longevity and vitality.
The Sun, being a central figure in Indian rituals, symbolizes sustenance and positive energy, making this coin a cultural tribute, it added.
Vikas Singh, MD and CEO of MMTC-PAMP, said, "We are excited to introduce our latest offering - the 22K 'Tree of Life' gold coin. This coin is not just an investment but also a piece of art that reflects Indian heritage and tastes."
With a purity of 916.7+ in 22 karats, the coin meets the highest standards, promising longevity and cultural resonance as an exquisite addition to collections, the statement said.
