Lyn Alden Predicts Bitcoin Will Hit $1 Million by 2035, Outperform Gold

Investment strategist Lyn Alden has predicted that Bitcoin will trade at $1 million per coin within the next eleven years.
Alden, who is also the author of the book “Broken Money,” shared her price target for BTC during an interview. Herself and Ark Invest CEO Cathie Wood have both predicted that Bitcoin will hit seven figures, although Alden believes that Wood’s timeframe is too aggressive.
While Alden agrees with the $1 million prediction, she feels that it will take longer than six years from now for BTC to reach that price point. Instead, she thinks 2035 would be more feasible for the asset to hit seven figures.
Alden's seven-figure Bitcoin speculation aligns with projections from other key players in the crypto industry. For example, X (formerly Twitter) founder and ex-CEO Jack Dorsey has predicted that the largest crypto asset will hit $1 million by 2030.
Aurelien Ohayon, the creator of the XOR trading machine, shared a similar sentiment, predicting that Bitcoin could spike to $1 million. However, his prediction is based on the possibility that the asset will repeat the incredible upward trajectory it recorded between 2013 and 2017.
It is worth noting that the seven-figure Bitcoin speculation would require a 1,667% surge from its current price of $60,000. However, such price action is not new to Bitcoin, as the asset has grown by a much more substantial margin since it first entered the market in 2010.
Alden also thinks that Bitcoin will eventually outperform gold, which is currently the largest asset by market cap. In terms of market value, gold is over 13 times the size of Bitcoin.
However, the investment strategist believes that both assets will become more prominent in the future, and that Bitcoin will ultimately beat out the precious metal.
Alden also pointed out that gold has been bullish recently, hitting an all-time high of $2,589 on Monday. In light of this, she added that not buying into Bitcoin at this point would be a crime.
According to Alden, the best buy in the global market today is Bitcoin, as the premier asset has the potential for outrageous long-term returns.
“Anyone in traditional finance that has no Bitcoin positions should have a Bitcoin position,” she said.
