The movie "Fall" is a crime drama based on the true story of the virtual currency crash that shook the world with the evaporation of 50 trillion won.
The late actor Song Jae-rim's final film, titled "Fall," will hit theaters on January 15, 2023, according to a recent announcement. The movie is a crime drama based on the true story of the virtual currency crash, which resulted in the loss of 50 trillion won.
The film follows a group of young entrepreneurs who make fateful decisions, highlighting the reality of young people who are engrossed in start-up investment, trading stocks during the day, and coin hunting at night.
As depicted in the teaser poster for "Fall," Song Jae-rim portrays the protagonist Yang Yang-hyun, also known as MOMY, a virtual currency developer and self-proclaimed business genius.
Due to the film's portrayal of numerous victims and its engagement with a true story that is still pending judicial resolution, "Fall" underwent a rigorous review and legal consultation process, which was informed by a thorough preliminary investigation and legal cases. The film received production support from the new media content division of the Korea Creative Content Agency.
The film is directed by Hyun Harry, a former current affairs producer who helmed the critically acclaimed "Woman Who Did Nine Contract Jobs" at the Cannes International Drama Festival and directed several reports that carried messages of social accusation. Regarding the film's tone, Director Hyun stated, "We will show black comedy elements by releasing them as realistic and sharp as possible."
The cast of "Fall" includes Ahn Woo-yeon, who is known for his roles in the dramas "Jealousy Incarnation," "Strong Woman Dobong Soon," and "Youth Era 2"; Min Sung-wook, who appeared in the Disney+ series "Casino"; and Cha Jung-won, who starred in the dramas "Miracle Brothers," "Cyrus," "Scary Story," "The Lawless Lawyer," and "She Was Pretty."
